Sustainable Fibers

Sustainability is at the core of our business.

Sustainability is more important now than ever before. As a pioneer in the development of eco-friendly fabrics since 1996, we are committed to offer our customers with high quality and intentional fabrications. With our growing collection of sustainable fabrics, we strive to produce textiles that have the least environmental impact possible. All of our fabrics are made locally here in Los Angeles using non-toxic, azo-free, metal-free and formaldehyde-free dyes. Our practices are reflected through the fibers we use, the production processes we do, and how workers are treated. We believe in softening our environmental footprint through conscious manufacturing.

TENCEL™ Lyocell

TENCEL™ Lyocell heralds the beginning of a new age in fiber technology. TENCEL™ Lyocell is a pure and natural cellulose fiber derived from renewable eucalyptus wood. Made in a closed-loop process from sustainably farmed eucalyptus trees, our TENCEL™ Lyocell is an environmentally responsible fiber from start to finish. Completely natural, a major breakthrough was made with the development of the unique nanofibril structure of this fiber– soft as silk, strong as polyester, cool as linen, warm as wool, and as absorbent as cotton. Its solvent is recycled and recovered up to 99.5% and the emissions which remain are decomposed in adapted biological purification plants. The manufacturing process was awarded the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union.

GOTS Certified Organic Cotton

Sometimes a fabric needs nothing more . . . but something less. Take the case of cotton—a natural fiber whose cultivation has, for the past sixty years, entailed a massive use of toxic chemicals. Organic Cotton not only saves water, it's never grown with any pesticides, herbicides or insecticides. Organic cotton lets the earth bypass huge amounts of unnecessary chemicals and toxins (1/3 lb. of chemicals is required to produce 1 pound of cotton). Buy organic cotton and smile knowing that you are reducing the toxic effects of pesticides in the environment.

Microviscose Bamboo

Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo. It is naturally porous and highly water absorbent, able to take up to three times it’s weight in water. In bamboo fabric, this translates to an excellent wicking ability that absorbs moisture and pulls it away from the skin, keeping you cooler and drier than synthetics or cotton.

The soft , smooth texture , and superior drapability of the bamboo is similar to silk, but more practical, because it is washable. Because it is naturally antimicrobial, bamboo retains it’s anti-fungal, anti-bacterial nature even after processing into fabric and numerous washes.
